Your trip, your pace.
Most of our travelers go independent — a custom journey built entirely around them. Prefer a guide and a group? We do that too. Either way, the planning is handled.
Independent or guided — you choose
There's no single right way to see a place. Some travelers want total freedom; others want everything handled by a guide. We plan both — and we'll help you decide which fits this trip.
Independent travel, designed around you.
F.I.T. — Free Independent Travel — is a fully custom trip with no big bus, no fixed group, and no rigid schedule. We design the route, hand-pick the hotels, arrange private transfers, and book local guides only for the days and sights you actually want. You travel on your own terms, with everything arranged and a real advisor on call.
- A hand-built itinerary Your route, your pace, your interests — start to finish.
- Hand-picked hotels Boutique, luxury, or family-friendly — matched to you.
- Private transfers & drivers No group coach, no waiting on anyone else.
- Local guides on your terms A morning in Rome, a Tuscan cooking class — only where you want them.
- Freedom to change plans Sleep in, linger longer, or rewrite the day.
This is what we do best. Most Greystone travelers go F.I.T. — independent, custom, and beautifully unhurried.
Prefer to be guided? We've got you.
Sometimes you just want to show up and enjoy. Escorted and guided group tours take care of every logistic — a tour director, a proven itinerary, like-minded travelers, and transport between stops. They're great for first-time international travelers, solo travelers who'd like company, or anyone who'd rather not plan a thing. We work with a select few escorted tour companies we know and trust.
- Everything handled Guide, transport, hotels, and many meals included.
- A ready-made route Proven itineraries that hit the highlights.
- Built-in company Travel alongside a friendly group.
- Strong value Group pricing with extras included.
- Trusted operators only We book the companies we'd send our own family with.
Choosing the right activity level
Tours range from gentle and leisurely to genuinely strenuous. We match every trip to your fitness and comfort so the pace feels right — here's how we think about it.
Leisurely
Minimal walking, an unhurried pace, and plenty of free time to rest. Light stairs at most.
Good for: relaxed travelers and multi-generational families.
On Your Feet
A few hours of walking most days, with stairs and uneven cobblestones. The most common pace for city and cultural touring.
Good for: most travelers in reasonable health.
Up & Moving
Longer walks and hikes, biking, full days, and varied terrain. A good base level of fitness is needed.
Good for: active travelers who like to keep busy.
Strenuous
Demanding hikes, altitude, or remote conditions over long days. Real fitness and preparation required.
Good for: experienced, adventurous travelers.
